Dominic Denny has over 24 year’s experience in strategic artist management, brand development, marketing, pr communications, , content rights & IP management as well as production for a range of music and entertainment projects, corporations and clients throughout the world. He began his professional life in publicity and communications where he was based in London and New York.
With experience both in-house and agency, Dom has worked on numerous international projects ranging from Formula 1 sponsorship to providing bespoke senior counsel to many clients including, CBS Records, Saatchi & Saatchi, Olivia Newton-John, Mercedes-Benz, adidas, AT&T, Sony/BMG,Warner Brothers, RCA Records, Arista, Capitol/EMI, France Telecom/Orange to name just a few. His work has allowed him to travel extensively and apart from his home in Toronto,  has spent periods in New York and London where he studied law at the University of London and The University of Westminster.

Dom has always been involved in talent development whether as a consultant or personal manager. He successfully helped guide the careers of amongst others, international hit songwriter, Juno Award winner and two time jazz vocalist of the year, Marc Jordan (hits written for Rod Stewart, Josh Groban, Cher, Diana Ross etc), Hit writer and now successful solo artist with current Billboard chart hits, Luke McMaster (hits written for Nick Lachey, Rhianna, Kalan Porter, Jim Brickman, Eva Avila etc), Canadian Idol, Gemini nominee and Independent Songwriter of the Year 2013 Theo Tams and power-piano pop combo StereoGoesStellar. He has also executive produced several major label albums.

A switch up…new priorities

Dominic Denny studied with the College of Cognitive Behavioural Therapies in London where he obtained a diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) & Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy (REBT). He is planning to complete his advanced diploma in 2016 and in the meantime continues to take any opportunities to improve and broaden his skill set through continued professional development (CPD). As well as training in Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dom holds a Royal College of General Practitioners Certificate in Alcohol Awareness in Primary Care, as well as current certificates in Mental Health First Aid, Assessment & Treatment Planning, Clinical Skills, First Aid, Suicide Prevention (ASIST Program) and Risk Management & Safeguarding. Dom has completed special continued education training in Post Traumatic Stress Disorder with McGill University, Montreal, Canada.

Dom adheres to the ethical standards of The British Association of Behavioural & Cognitive Therapies (BABCP) of which he is a member whilst working towards full accreditation. Membership # 160049. He is also a Certified Canadian Addictions Counsellor (CCAC)  and member of the Canadian Addictions Counsellors Certification Federation (CACCF). Dom receives a minimum of 90 minutes supervision per month with a fully qualified & accredited supervisor.

Day to day…

A dual UK/Canadian national, Dom divides time between Toronto, Co. Kerry and Bath. In his spare time, he is interested in collecting art, mainly British abstract work from the 50’s – 90’s and has acquired a significant and important collection. He continues to provide ad hoc counsel to music and film/tv projects that capture his imagination, while enjoying his 3 Cavalier King Charles Spaniels (Jake, Molly & Paddy) and 4 busy Bantam chickens (Amelie, Pat, Lettie & Sandra).
